Editorial Guidelines

These guidelines explain how Nuco Tech prepares, checks, updates and corrects educational content published on nucotech.com.au. They support useful, transparent content without overstating evidence, product capabilities or medical review.

Editorial responsibility

Nuco Tech is responsible for the content it publishes. Articles may provide general educational information about family health, care, record organisation and related topics. They do not provide personalised medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, triage or emergency guidance.

Content must stay within its approved topic and evidence. It should not imply that Nucentra verifies, endorses or replaces health information, professional care or emergency services.

Content may be published under Nuco Tech or a named author. A personal byline, professional credential or reviewer attribution should be used only when it is accurate, approved and relevant to that exact content.

How we select sources

We prefer sources that are authoritative, relevant to the topic and appropriate for the intended audience. For Australian health-related content, this generally means current Australian government agencies, public health services, recognised hospitals, universities, standards bodies and other primary or official sources. Peer-reviewed research or professional guidance may be used when it adds relevant evidence.

We check whether a source:

• directly supports the exact claim and strength of wording;
• applies to the relevant audience, age group, jurisdiction and context;
• identifies the responsible organisation or authors;
• shows a publication, update or review date where available;
• explains material limitations, uncertainty or conflicts of interest; and
• remains accessible through a direct, meaningful link.

Commercial pages, search-result summaries, artificial intelligence output, social media posts and personal stories are not treated as primary evidence for health claims. International sources are used cautiously and qualified where Australian jurisdiction, services, medicines or emergency pathways differ.

Source and date checks

Before publication, we check that material source links open, match the claims they support and remain relevant to the article. We record a source-checked date. Where a source displays a publication, update or review date, that date may also be recorded. We do not invent missing authors, page titles, web addresses or dates.

If information is undated or appears old, we check whether a newer version or current Australian guidance is available. Review frequency is risk-based: topics involving safety, legal, privacy, product-release or rapidly changing information may require more frequent checking than stable evergreen topics.

Product claims and commercial disclosure

Nuco Tech develops Nucentra. When Nucentra is discussed in an article, readers should understand this relationship. Educational articles are not written to disguise product promotion as independent medical guidance.

Statements about Nucentra should be based on verified current product facts and should not promise unreleased features or imply availability that has not been confirmed. We use careful language for privacy, storage, backup, security and data-handling claims and avoid absolute guarantees.

Medical review and source verification

Nuco Tech’s editorial review is not medical review. Unless an individual article expressly says it has been medically reviewed, it has not been presented as medically reviewed.

“Sources checked” means that Nuco Tech reviewed the cited sources and their relevance to the article. It does not mean the article has been medically reviewed.

We describe an article as medically reviewed only when an appropriately qualified reviewer has expressly reviewed that exact article for the stated purpose. Where this occurs, the article should identify the reviewer or reviewing organisation, relevant role or qualifications, scope and review date, subject to permission and a retained record of the review. Otherwise, a “Not medically reviewed” disclosure should be used where applicable.

Use of artificial intelligence assistance

Nuco Tech may use artificial intelligence tools as part of its standard editorial workflow. This page provides the general disclosure for that use. We add an article-specific note only where the nature or extent of artificial intelligence assistance is material to understanding that article, or where a platform, legal or professional requirement applies. Responsibility for the final published content remains with Nuco Tech.

Corrections and updates

We correct material errors when they are identified and update content when relevant evidence, guidance or product facts change. A substantive correction or update should change the relevant date and may include a clear correction or update note where the change materially affects meaning. Minor spelling, formatting, link-maintenance or clarity edits may be made without a separate correction notice.

An accurate medical-review disclosure or general-information disclaimer may appear on an article, but it does not replace source checking or permit unsafe, unsupported or out-of-scope claims. Content that does not meet those checks is corrected, narrowed, updated or held while better evidence is obtained.

Publication standard

Before publication, content must have an approved scope, appropriate sources, supported claims, accurate metadata, clear safety boundaries and an editorial review. Product, privacy, availability, subscription and call-to-action statements should also be checked against current Nucentra evidence. Where these requirements are not met, publication should be paused until the issue is resolved.
